It is rare in this day and age that we experience good customer service instead of voice mails and generic recordings. But when someone receives the personal assistance, care and service that I received from your personnel, it should not go unnoticed or un-rewarded.
I had patiently awaited the shipping of a new furniture order. When after four months I received notice of shipment, I was advised by the maker's representative/dealer that the shipment would take 7 to 10 days (in total - not standard work days). I was also advised that Pack Ship USA would soon be contacting me to coordinate the delivery. Though I had not received prior notice of shipment, this was more than sufficient to me as even at the 10 day maximum delivery period there remained a 3 day cushion prior to my leaving for vacation.
After 7 days I had not received a call or email from anyone - so of course I emailed the dealer. The dealer did not contact me but obviously forwarded my message, whereby the next morning I received an email from Pack Ship USA. It became immediately obvious that the furniture shipment would likely not be delivered prior to my leaving for a two week business/vacation trip. The dealer's position was that I should have known that Pack Ship USA is only the packer (requiring up to seven days) and that they then transfer the merchandise to the shipper (requiring up to 10 days from PA. to CA.). I should have also been very aware that since I live in a small mountain community 40 miles from the metropolitan areas, an interline carrier would be required - adding possibly another day or two.
The detail shipping information was readily provided by both Pack Ship USA representative, Kristy Titler and Consolidated Freightways representative, Kirk Carlisle. The difference is that neither of these individuals treated me as if I belonged to the Moronic Club of America simply because I have no expertise in the freight industry. Instead they politely explained the process to me and empathized with my situation [sometimes that's all it takes]. Could anything be done? No one yet knew, but it could certainly be researched.
Kristy not only tracked the shipment on a daily basis but coordinated its position with Kirk. By this close communication with Kirk, he could more precisely coordinate the interline carrier. And Kristy telephoned me each morning to advise me of the shipment's position and progress. Additionally, and most importantly, Kristy provided and supported alternative measures that could be taken if per chance the furniture did not reach its destination.
I received the furniture on Thursday, prior to my Saturday morning leave. I can't prove it, but I think Kristy and Kirk must have called in a favor on my behalf. I believe it took fourteen days start to finish. And that 14 days included the Memorial Holiday.
Regrettably I am not in a business or position that will likely lend itself to my promotion of your services. However, I can assure you that should the opportunity ever arise, I will be the champion supporter and advertiser for Pack Ship USA and Consolidated Freightways.
I want to sincerely thank Kristy and Kirk for their exceptional character, service and teamwork. I hope you will also.

Just wanted to let you know that we received shipment of the table yesterday and we are VERY pleased with it. Color is perfect, workmanship and quality is excellent and it is a fine addition to our dining room. Also, appreciated the service of Consolidated Freightways and their driver. As you remember, I placed a large order for furniture a few months ago. The pieces I purchased included a desk, file cabinet, bookshelf, dining table, ten chairs, buffet, coffee table, end table and three bar stools. Placing an order of this size across the internet from an individual I did not know was a real risk, but after speaking with you a number of times and corresponding by email with one of your previous customers, I decided to trust you.
